Reproductive Health Knowledge and Behaviour of Young Unmarried Women in the Maldives
This study highlights the challenges that adolescents face in accessing reproductive health services and being able to make informed reproductive health choices, including how to avoid unintended pregnancies. The study provides insights to inform policy and to plan interventions on adolescent sexual and reproductive health through collaborative efforts across sectors. It is UNFPA's hope that this study will stimulate a dialogue and action on what is needed to prevent unintended pregnancies, especially among adolescents and young people in the Maldives.

Maldives: Youth Voices Report 2005
Policy interventions and programmes that strengthen the wellbeing and status of young people are essential for reaching the Millennium Development Goals. The active role and the participation of Youth in contributing towards the success of policy interventions and programmes cannot be underscored.
The Youth Voices: Facts, Opinions and Solutions Report is a one of the first such endeavours in the Maldives where Youth were empowered to lead nationwide consultations and research on issues that concern them. This project has now been successfully completed and the main findings of this two year process have been presented to high level policy makers.
